Vin Varavarn Architects (VVA) is the Bangkok based architectural practice which has been established in 2005 by M.L.Varudh Varavarn. VVA is currently working with a variety of projects from residential, commercial through to social responsibility projects. The practice concentrates on all kinds of experimental toward the innovative ideas for creative and practical solutions, together with the emphases on context and the imaginative use of materials. Many of the works have been published and exhibited internationally.
Principal Profile
M.L. Varudh Varavarn was born in Bangkok Thailand. He received his Bachelor in Interior Architecture from King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand. He pursued advanced studies abroad and received his AA Diploma/ RIBA from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA), London. After graduated, Varudh worked in London for several years before returning to Bangkok and established his own practice ‘Vin Varavarn Architects (VVA)’ in 2005.
Varudh believes that architecture is not purely a design of a building, but to create all kinds of interesting and everlasting experiences; through spaces, textures, scent, sounds or even the dimension of time. Together with his practice, Varudh has been invited as visiting lecturer for many universities and organizations both in Thailand and abroad. He has been selected as one of the exhibitors for Thailand Pavilion of 15th Venice Architecture Biennale, and has been appointed by Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) as the curator for Thailand Pavilion of 16th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2018.
